Denver’s rising RiNo neighborhood balances grit, growth

Growing new neighborhoods in areas of aging buildings isn’t new in Denver. From LoDo to Lowry, the Mile High City has seen plenty of repurposing and reuse in recent decades.

Revitalizing these areas brings promise as well as challenges, however. Often, these revitalized areas experience growing pains inherent to bridging the gap between old and new.

River North, the city’s latest area getting the redevelopment treatment, is an example.
